Ready to try Meedi8? This guide walks you through your first mediation session.
Choose Your Session Type
Solo Session
Work through your thoughts privately with Meedi. Best for:
- Processing emotions before a difficult conversation
- Gaining clarity on your feelings and needs
- Preparing what you want to communicate
Duo Mediation
Have a guided conversation with another person. Best for:
- Resolving ongoing conflicts
- Having difficult conversations constructively
- Working through misunderstandings
We recommend starting with a Solo session to get comfortable with the platform and prepare your thoughts.
Starting a Solo Session
Step 1: Open the Navigation Panel
Tap the menu button (☰) in the top-right corner to open the Navigation Panel.
Step 2: Select "Solo"
Tap the Solo button at the bottom of the Navigation Panel.
Step 3: Describe the Situation
Tell Meedi what's on your mind. You can:
- Type your thoughts
- Record a voice message
- Upload relevant files
Example prompts:
- "I had an argument with my partner about household chores"
- "I'm frustrated with a coworker who keeps missing deadlines"
- "I need to have a difficult conversation with my parents"
Step 4: Engage with Meedi
Meedi will ask questions to help you:
- Identify your feelings
- Understand your underlying needs
- Prepare constructive language
Step 5: Get Your Summary
When you're ready to finish, Meedi provides:
- A summary of your situation
- Your key feelings and needs
- Suggested talking points
Starting a Duo Mediation
Step 1: Open the Navigation Panel
Tap the menu button (☰) in the top-right corner to open the Navigation Panel.
Step 2: Select "Duo"
Tap the Duo button at the bottom of the Navigation Panel.
Step 3: Complete Your Coaching
Before involving the other person, you'll have a private coaching session with Meedi (just like Solo).
Step 4: Share the Invite Link
When coaching is complete, you'll get a unique link. Share it with the other person via:
- Text message
- Any messaging app
Step 5: Wait for Partner
The other person needs to:
- Click the link
- Create an account (if needed)
- Complete their own coaching session
Step 6: Joint Mediation
Once both are ready, you'll enter the mediation room where:
- Meedi facilitates turn-by-turn conversation
- Each person speaks, then listens
- Meedi helps translate and summarize
- You work toward understanding
Tips for Your First Session
Be Honest
The AI works best when you share openly. Everything is confidential.
Take Your Time
There's no rush. Use the break feature if needed.
Trust the Process
NVC techniques may feel different at first, but they're proven effective.
It's Okay to Stop
You can pause or end any session at any time.

Common First-Time Questions
"What if I don't know what to say?"
Meedi will guide you with questions. Just start with what's on your mind.
"What if I get emotional?"
That's completely normal and okay. Meedi is designed to help you work through emotions constructively.
"What if the other person gets angry?"
Meedi monitors the conversation and will intervene if things get too heated.
