Need a moment? The break feature lets you pause without losing progress.

Why Take Breaks?

Breaks are important for:

  • Processing emotions
  • Calming down if heated
  • Taking time to think
  • Physical needs

How to Request a Break

In Solo Sessions

Simply close the tab or say "I need a break." Your progress is auto-saved.

In Duo Mediation

  1. Click the "Break" button
  2. Choose break duration (5, 10, 15 min or custom)
  3. Both parties are notified
  4. Session pauses

During a Break

What Happens

  • Timer counts down
  • Both can see remaining time
  • Meedi sends return reminder
  • Session stays secure

What You Can Do

  • Step away
  • Get water
  • Breathe deeply
  • Come back refreshed

Returning from Break

When Timer Ends

  • You'll get a notification
  • Click to return
  • Resume where you left off

Early Return

Both parties can return early if ready.

Communicate

Let the other person know why you need a break.

Actually rest - don't stew on the conflict.

No Shame

Automatic Pauses

Meedi may suggest breaks when:

  • Conversation gets heated
  • Strong emotions are detected
  • Someone seems overwhelmed

Session Timeout

If inactive for extended periods:

  • Session auto-saves
  • You can return anytime
  • Just log back in
